General Chemistry
Build Clarity, One Reaction at a Time.
Service Description
Master core chemistry concepts including atomic structure, chemical bonding, reactions, and stoichiometry. These personalized one-on-one sessions are tailored to K-12 or college curriculum requirements to help you excel in your coursework. Topics covered include but are not limited to: - Matter & Measurement: properties of matter, units, significant figures, and dimensional analysis. - Atomic Structure: subatomic particles, isotopes, electron configuration, and periodic trends. - Chemical Bonding: ionic, covalent, metallic bonds, polarity, and molecular geometry. - Stoichiometry: mole concept, balanced equations, limiting reactants, and percent yield. - Chemical Reactions: reaction types, predicting products, and energy changes. - States of Matter: gases, gas laws, liquids, solids, and intermolecular forces. - Thermochemistry: heat, enthalpy, calorimetry, and energy transfer. - Solutions & Solubility: concentration, dilution, electrolytes, and solution behavior. - Acids, Bases & pH: properties, pH calculations, neutralization, and titrations. - Equilibrium & Kinetics: reaction rates, catalysts, dynamic equilibrium, and Le Châtelier’s principle.
Preparation Policy
To ensure that every tutoring session is productive, personalized, and fully prepared, all students are required to submit the specific topic or assignment they would like to cover at least 24 hours before their scheduled session. Uploads of homework and class material are encouraged. Providing this information in advance allows tutors to: - Prepare targeted explanations and examples - Create customized practice problems - Review any relevant materials you share Make the most efficient use of our time together If a topic is not submitted within the 24‑hour window, the session may need to be rescheduled or used for general review instead of targeted instruction. Thank you for helping maintain a smooth and effective learning experience for everyone.
