Service Description
Unlock the world of shapes and theorems with personalized geometry tutoring. These one-on-one sessions cover core concepts, proofs, and problem-solving strategies tailored to K-12 students. Topics covered include but are not limited to: - Foundations & Vocabulary: points, lines, planes, angles, and essential geometric terminology. - Reasoning & Proofs: deductive reasoning, theorems, postulates, and constructing logical geometric proofs. - Parallel & Perpendicular Lines: angle relationships, transversals, and applications in coordinate geometry. - Triangles: triangle classification, congruence (SSS, SAS, ASA, AAS), similarity, and special triangles. - Quadrilaterals & Polygons: properties, classification, interior/exterior angles, and symmetry. - Circles: arcs, chords, tangents, secants, central/inscribed angles, and circle theorems. - Transformations: translations, rotations, reflections, dilations, and symmetry in the coordinate plane. - Area & Perimeter: formulas for polygons, circles, composite figures, and real‑world applications. - Surface Area & Volume: prisms, cylinders, pyramids, cones, spheres, and 3D problem‑solving. - Coordinate Geometry: distance, midpoint, slope, equations of geometric figures, and analytic proofs.
Preparation Policy
To ensure that every tutoring session is productive, personalized, and fully prepared, all students are required to submit the specific topic or assignment they would like to cover at least 24 hours before their scheduled session. Uploads of homework and class material are encouraged. Providing this information in advance allows tutors to: - Prepare targeted explanations and examples - Create customized practice problems - Review any relevant materials you share Make the most efficient use of our time together If a topic is not submitted within the 24‑hour window, the session may need to be rescheduled or used for general review instead of targeted instruction.
