Students learn how to work with integers, variables, equations, ratios, and foundational geometry, creating a smooth transition into full Algebra I. Topics covered include but are not limited to: - Integers & Number Properties: positive/negative numbers, absolute value, and operations. - Variables & Expressions: writing, interpreting, and simplifying algebraic expressions. - Equations & Inequalities: solving one‑step and two‑step equations with confidence. - Ratios, Rates & Proportions: real‑world applications and proportional reasoning. - Fractions & Decimals Review: strengthening skills needed for algebraic operations. - Exponents & Square Roots: basic powers, roots, and patterns. - Coordinate Plane Basics: graphing points, reading grids, and understanding relationships. - Intro to Functions: recognizing patterns and simple function rules. - Geometry Foundations: perimeter, area, volume, and angle basics. - Preparation for Algebra I: building the skills needed for equations, graphing, and polynomials.

Preparation Policy

To ensure that every tutoring session is productive, personalized, and fully prepared, all students are required to submit the specific topic or assignment they would like to cover at least 24 hours before their scheduled session. Uploads of homework and class material are encouraged. Providing this information in advance allows tutors to: - Prepare targeted explanations and examples - Create customized practice problems - Review any relevant materials you share Make the most efficient use of our time together If a topic is not submitted within the 24‑hour window, the session may need to be rescheduled or used for general review instead of targeted instruction.
